Same-day (policy sign-off, schedule changes, training due today): Email with Required acknowledgement as primary; SMS / text for time-sensitive confirmations; avoid Team chat for items needing formal record.
Routine (meeting minutes, recognition, announcements): Email or Desktop dashboard for reference; Team chat for discussion; Public website for external audiences; shift briefing for awareness during operations.

Channel-overload findings

Team chat is overloaded: Officers currently text all message types there, burying urgent recall messages under routine reminders. Move training reminders, meeting minutes, and employee recognition off Team chat to Email or Shift briefing.
